TOGETHER: AFTERNOON STROLL is a part of the “TOGETHER” series, which explores the moments we share with others. In this piece, we find a couple strolling along a soft, winding trail through the woods with their beloved dog. They wander deep into the forest; the path ahead is unknown, but their hearts are certain and sure. They have always found the forest to be a place of mystery and beauty—open and honest; their perfect world.

Studies have shown that being in tranquil mountainous settings, reduces stress, improve mood, and promotes relaxation. Nature provides us an opportunity to escape the pressures of daily life and reconnect with our inner peace.

In this fourth piece of the TOGETHER series, “Night on the Town” tells the story of two people who appear to be dressed for a special occasion. We see them walking through town holding hands headed for a wonderful destination. This is the time for them to enjoy themselves and forget about the troubles of the world. Their heart is light and full of joy as they begin their “Night on the Town”.

The progression of life often takes us on many journeys. Forcing us at times to experience new and challenging circumstances. As I painted this piece I was reminded of how adaptive we are and how we find various PATHWAYS to move through our current situations.
